I've been using them for a long time w/o issues: I think you can discount the following, though. Sorry, but I have no idea what might cause it for you. My starting save this time around (with +100 plugins) is c. ? 09 Skyrim Project Optimization - Full Version.esm I've tried uninstalling mods that I suspected might be involved, but the game seems to bloat regardless. I've used almost all of these mods without issues in the past, although maybe not in this configuration. What other than scripts can cause bloating? Timescale tweaks? Ini tweaks? Frequently reloading saves? A really low-performance laptop?, even? I know it's caused primarily by errant scripts, but can having multiple script-heavy mods that are stable on their own cause problems?Ĭould it be some crazy incompatibility? This is where my load order comes in handy, but I'm not sure it's even possible for mods to misinteract in a way that causes bloating. I've messed with a few things now, so I'll start yet another new game (at this rate I can speak along to the Helgen sequence) but I'll post my load order anyway at the bottom of this post.Īre there any popular mods that are known to cause save bloat for some people? I've tested it out (using new games) with and without several script-involved mods, and invariably my saves always grow to absurd sizes.

When I used have Enhanced Landscapes installed I used this LOOT Rule: Loot Metadata Update Required:Cutting Room Floor.esp - Load After Enhanced Landscapes - Merged.I've reinstalled Skyrim multiple times, and every time I end up getting terrible save bloat, along with script lag and tons of general wonkiness. I tried asking this question on the EL nexus forum thread but haven't got a response, apologies for how specific this question is! How bad would it be to have CRF have such a high priority-I know it is one of those mods that is best loaded early (low priority).
This means I either load both EL and CRF with a low priority (basically, just after unofficial high res patch) or load them both at the end of the load order (with essentially the highest priority).Checklist of quests covering Skyrim, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and quest mods Agent of Righteous Might, Beyond Reach, Cutting Room Floor, Falskaar.
esp's to have the highest priority possible (I am guessing for dyndolod to work correctly). This seems fine, but the instructions for enhanced landscapes also want it enhanced landscape. Nevertheless, the instructions for enhanced landscapes claim that it should be a lower priority than CRF in the load order (so CRF overrides it). Enhanced landscapes conflicts with CRF, but there is a patch.
